Orlando Hernandez, Pharm.D.
Dr. Hernandez, pharmacist and owner of Fairmont Pharmacy, received his Pharm.D. from the University of Southern California in 1982. Once in practice, he began to notice that there was a significant population of patients whose needs were not being met by commercially available preparations. His desire to help those with specialized medication needs led him to Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), an organization that provides independent pharmacists with a complete support system for compounding safe and effective medications in unique dosage forms. |

| Since joining PCCA in 1985, Dr. Hernandez has been able to provide a service to his patients that he feels good about. His love of chemistry goes back to his days as a boy in school, and he is very pleased that his area of expertise has helped to make medication administration easier, safer and more convenient for his patients. |

| Gloriana Fernandez, Pharm.D.
Dr. Fernandez has been the lead compounding pharmacist at Fairmont since early 2006 but her relationship with Dr. Hernandez goes much further back. As a matter of fact, she credits Dr. Hernandez as being her inspiration for deciding to pursue a career in Pharmacy. In 1995, while majoring in Biology at UCLA, Dr. Hernandez offered her part-time work at Fairmont. She accepted and he took her on as his assistant in the compounding lab. It was during this time that she developed an interest in Pharmacy as a career. Her admiration and respect for Dr. Hernandez and his chosen profession led her to apply to pharmacy school. Dr. Fernandez received her Pharm.D. from the University of California, San Francisco in 2002 and went on to complete a residency in Pharmacy Practice at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nevada . |

| She is very pleased to be back at Fairmont Pharmacy and doing what she loves, compounding. The practice of compounding is based on scientific principles but it is also an art. Dr. Fernandez feels very privileged to be in a line of work that requires her to use her training in the sciences while allowing her to express herself creatively. |
